POPE Francis Calls Out the Church and its Obsession With Gays, Abortion and Birth Control

Pope Francis is stirring the pot with an interview that was published Thursday in which he said that the church is "obsessed" with abortion, gay marriage and birth control, and that's why he's decided to shy away from those issues.
In the lengthy interview, he spoke critically of the church for putting dogma ahead of love and favoring moral doctrines over helping the poor.
The Pope said, "It is not necessary to talk about these issues all the time. The dogmatic and moral teachings of the church are not all equivalent. The church's pastoral ministry cannot be obsessed with the transmission of disjointed multitude of doctrines to be imposed insistently
