LAURYN HILL: Gets Two-Week Reprieve

Lauryn Hill is a free woman -- at least for two weeks.

She was supposed to be sentenced for failing to file tax returns from 2005 through 2007 on Monday, but the sentencing was bumped for two weeks to give the one-time Fugee time to pay off the $968,000 she owes Uncle Sam.

According to TMZ, Lauryn's attorney said that she recently inked a new million-dollar deal with Sony and she has plans get a $650,000 loan to pay off her bill.

Lauryn could get several years behind bars, but she and her lawyer and hoping for probation.
