Do you know anyone who decided not to get pregnant because they didn't want to mess up their bodies?

A while back, Jillian Michaels (trainer from The Biggest Loser) commented that she would never get pregnant because she wanted to keep the body she's worked so hard to get. Her argument: "I can't handle doing that to my body."

Of course, websites and tabloids jumped all over the story and now, Jillian says she's "heartbroken" that the media totally exaggerated her comment. Her thoughts: "I'm disappointed about the way my words have been twisted by the media. I support all women in any ... endeavor they choose and I wish they would do the same for me."

I don't think it is necessary to have kids to be happy Mahogony! If she doesn't want to have kids, whether she doesn't want to mess up her body or not is her business. There are too many people out here with kids they don't care for or don't want! As far as people's kids taking care of them when they get old, let me tell you, I worked in many nursing homes over the years with people that have children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, that don't visit them and act like they don't exist. They're just waiting on them to die! Having kids doesn't guarantee you anything! It is a privilege and not a right! If you don't want to have them for whatever reason then no one should feel pressured to do so! Single people and people without children are invaluable parts of our society! God is our ultimate kinfolk and we are his children!
