Regions Bank is hosting its September Free Day at Nashville’s Adventure Science Center, inviting Middle Tennessee children to explore their creativity at the 2014 Nashville Mini Maker Faire. This one-day event, which is free and open to the public, features outdoor exhibitors and vendors “showing what they are making and sharing what they are learning.” In addition, workshops, panelists and performers from around the region will be featured. In addition to the outdoor faire on Sept. 13, the first 1,000 children under 18 years old will be admitted inside the Science Center at no charge, courtesy of Regions Bank. Regions Free Days is an annual initiative offering complimentary access to one area blockbuster attraction or event each month. The Nashville Mini Maker Faire (NMMF) is a local version of the World Maker Faire, established by MAKE magazine. Free parking will be available. Adult general admission tickets may be purchased at the Science Center the day of the faire, beginning at 10 a.m. Sudekum Planetarium and BlueMax Flight Simulator tickets are available for an additional fee. For more information about NMMF, visit http://www.makerfairenashville.com/. |
