Been sick for about 2 weeks and just found out he's coming to d ville. Been listening to this man since i was in middle school, performed his music, lived out his words. Awesome artist, awesome performer. Used to put a safety pin on the record player (the needle had worn out and i liked the sound of vinyl) and play his album on Saturday morning, cleaning up the house."For the Good Times"....

I love Al Green. I am an Old School baby. Plus my mom would love to go since she has just retired from the VA of 35 years. Al Green is one of her favorite singers not to mention his legendary.

Al Green reminds me of "The Goods" I had with my dad when I was young. Listening to him on his 8 Track during those Sunday drives. It was truly full of "Love and Happiness" back then.

Our mother will celebrate her 70th birthday on Thursday, 9/20. Hope this will be one of her special presents.
