Cardi B Blasts 'Racist' Cops After Being Removed From Albany Hotel

Cardi B was kicked out of the Hilton Hotel in upstate Albany, NY she was staying at Sunday morning (Oct. 22), after the hotel called police due to complaints of marijuana odor and partying on the floor the Bronx native was staying on.

The 25-year-old returned late after performing at the Times Union Center, and local police were called to the scene shortly after 1 a.m., according to TMZ. Security then instructed Cardi and her management team to leave the premises after the confrontation escalated. The “Bodak Yellow” artist took to now-deleted Instagram videos claiming she was asleep and doesn’t even smoke weed.

“The floor that I was staying in in my hotel room, it smelled like weed. So the cops came in the middle of the night, knocking on my manager and on my door, talking about that we were smoking weed and we gotta get kicked out,” the Atlantic Records artist, who was sick with a cold, explained. “Now, if you know me, I don’t even talk about smoking weed because everybody knows that I do not smoke weed -- I get very paranoid. And none of my team members smoke weed. If they was to kick us out for something else, all right, but for weed? I’m not taking that, because we do not smoke. I could get -- we could all get drug-tested. Nobody smokes. Nobody smokes, especially when I’m sleeping and I’m wild sick."

Cardi was caught on video making a scene as she was escorted from the hotel lobby in black pajamas and sleepwear, shouting profanities at the staff such as, “racist mother*cker” and “white piece of sh!t.” The Albany Police Department publicly denied racist motives behind the expulsion, even though they did not find anything weed-related in the rooms occupied by the artist and her team.

According to US Weekly, the "Red Barz" artist and her management were the only people of color staying on the accused hotel floor.
