X-Men: Days of Future Past had a big opening, but it fell short of setting any records. The superhero sequel earned $111 million between Friday and Monday -- placing it fifth all-time for the Memorial Day weekend. The $91.4 million it earned over the three-day weekend also puts it second among X-Men movies -- The Last Stand earned $102.8 million when it opened on the same weekend eight years ago. 

Godzilla dropped to second with $39.5 million over the four-day holiday weekend.

Adam Sandler's latest comedy, Blended, was also his latest bomb. It opened in third with $18.2 million.

Neighbors fell two spots to fourth with $17.2 million.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 also dropped two spots, landing in fifth with $10 million.
