President Obama was said to be "angry" after reading General Stanley McChrystal's remarks in a Rolling Stone profile and now the general's job hangs in the balance as he is scheduled to meet face-to-face with Obama today. Sources say the general will likely resign after apologizing Tuesday for the profile, in which he and his staff mock Vice President Joe Biden and other civilian officials. Although the president is not directly criticized, he is disrespected. Rolling Stone's Michael Hastings wrote that Obama and McChrystal "failed to connect" from the start, during their first meeting, which "was a 10-minute photo op." A McChystal adviser is also quoted saying, ""Obama clearly didn't know anything about him, who he was. Here's the guy who's going to run his f---ing war, but he didn't seem very engaged. The Boss (McChrystal) was disappointed."
