Wyclef Jean Shot In The Hand (Says It's No Big Deal!)

Wyclef Jean was treated and released from a hospital in Haiti yesterday after receiving a gun shot wound to his hand on Saturday night in Delmas, a city just outside Port-au-Prince. Jean was shot during a campaign rally for musician and presidential candidate Michel "Sweet Micky" Martelly on the evening before the runoff election for president of Haiti. The rapper had previously attempted to run for president of Haiti himself, but was barred by the country's board of elections.

According to Jean's representatives, the wound was only superficial. No further details have been released regarding the event, and whether or not the shooter was apprehended. Some reports suggest that Jean was traveling in a car with his entourage and Busta Rhymes at the time of the shooting, but only Jean was injured.
