NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Prosecutors are asking a judge Friday morning to retire all the remaining rape cases against Robert Jason Burdick which means five victims will not get their day in court.
The man known as the "Wooded Rapist" is in his 40s and faces more than a 100 years in prison. He will most likely die behind bars.
With the blessing of the remaining victims, prosecutors are filing a motion in court to have the remaining seven charges against Burdick retired.
Burdick has been found guilty of rape four times, three times in Davidson and once in Williamson.
Former prosecutor and NewsChannel 5's legal analyst Jim Todd said it's logical for the District Attorney to retire the charges.
The court hearing will be held at 9 a.m.
