WOW!!! Local Concert Promoter - Lewis Fite Arrested on Bank Robbery Charges!!!

I don't know if the case is strong or not, but I guess it's up to the FEDS now!  

CHARLOTTE, NC - Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Armed Robbery Unit and the FBI Safe Streets Task Force arrested a man after they said he robbed two local banks.

Lewis Edward Fite is charged with two counts of Common Law Robbery.

Police said the first robbery occurred on Jan. 9 at the BB&T Bank at 8011 Mallard Creek Road. The second robbery happened on Feb. 10 at the First Citizens Bank, located at 15010 John J. Delaney Drive in the South Division.

Police said during the second robbery, Fite entered First Citizens Bank at 1:50 p.m., approached an employee and demanded cash.  Once Fite received money he fled the scene.  Police said it was during the investigation of the second robbery that they received information on Fite being connected to the first robbery on Jan. 9.  Police were able to take Fite into custody after he was pulled over and arrested for felony larceny warrants from the state of Tennessee.

Fite is currently in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office.
