Why I Hope The Republicans Take Over Congress?
WHY I WANT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TO TAKE OVER CONGRESS
As the Doom of the Democratic Party in Congress looms...I am actually getting excited. Finally, the Republican Party and the Tea Party can stop holding our nation hostage and start participating in fixing this country. For the last 2 Years they have acted like children who own a basketball, but were booted off the court after their team lost...now they want their ball back (insert - "We Want Our Country Back")!
But alas, these guys are not interested in governing. They are on a crusade to STOP OBAMA! They don't want to govern until the bitter defeat of the Presidency in 2008 and the passing of the Health Care Bill are somehow erased. As a matter of fact, the first thing on their agenda is to REPEAL the Health Care Bill. Shouldn't the first thing on your agenda be to fix the economy! These guys are blinded by anger (mostly of having "that guy" in "their White House")! They want revenge! They are angry! They want blood! Then after that, maybe we'll actually work on fixing our country! Just PETTY...
However, once they win, they'll have to do some damn work...Finally!!!

Dems controlled congress since 2006, why do they need the pubs for anything (see: the ridiculous Obamacare behemoth that just got passed)? Pubs have become whipping boy b/c O and his cronies haven't delivered with regards to the economy (they managed to increase the debt by 4 trillion $$$$, though).
I'm not sure how Tea Party is holding the nation hostage since that's a fractured movement to begin with (folks like Sarah Palin wouldn't be caught dead with Gary Johnson, 'nuff said).
If Pubs capture the House, they'll be able to slow down on some of the spending an legislation and to be quite honest, I'm hankering for a D.C. shutdown like the one in the mid-90s. The only job growth going on is our federal gov't and that has to stop with regards to solvency of our nation (assuming it's not too late). Both parties are guilty being beholden to corporatist interests, though.
