Why Do Black Athletes Go Broke?

Why do black athletes seem to go broke? They sign a deal to join a major league team and basically trade away education in exchange for a very short life of glamour in professional sports.

Upon signing a contract, these athletes are dealing with more money than they've had in life. A lot of that goes wasted on cars, clothes, and other material things. On top of that, a lot of these athletes are being ripped off because they don't have the educational background to understand what is happening.

Maybe the NFL and NBA should require a class on money management before athletes can sign a contract.
