DRUG BUST!!!

LaVergne police simultaneously raided two suspected drug houses, one on Jefferson Pike and the other along Hickory Street.

For months, detectives said they made undercover drug buys at both locations, including crack cocaine, marijuana and Xanax pills.

"We knew of juveniles consuming and selling narcotics, so we had to do everything in a timely fashion," said Sgt. Mike Mullen.

Police took two teenage girls, a 15- and 17-year-old, into custody, as well as four others: Michelle Gunning, 31, of Smyrna; DaShawn Sloan, 18, of Antioch; De Ron Batey, 32, possibly from Smyrna; and Mary Jane Warren of Smyrna.

Gunning was charged with nine felonies and one misdemeanor. Sloan was charged with seven felonies. Warren was charged with 18 felonies. Each of the juveniles were charged with 16 felonies.

Gunning, also known as "Snow Bunny" is supposed to be the ringleader, according to police. They said she is the girlfriend of Robert Lee Adams. Adams skipped town as a jury deliberated his fate in December 2009. He was on trial for attempted murder, kidnapping and robbery. He claimed he had to go to the emergency room and later texted his attorney saying he couldn't do a life sentence. He was arrested in Michigan then brought back to Tennessee.
