A suspect wanted on several warrants was arrested after a child went to school with an alleged hostage note from his mother, according to the East Feliciana Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office said they received a call around 8 a.m. Tuesday when an 11-years-old student came to school with a note sent by his mother. The note claimed that she needed help and was being held against her will by a man identified as Donald Ray Guy.
Deputies said Guy was wanted on warrants in both East Feliciana and East Baton Rouge parishes, but would run whenever they tried to serve him.
Because Guy had a history of running, the sheriff's office called in K-9s from Dixon to assist law enforcement at the home on Folly Brown Road.
Deputies were let it into the house with a warrant and searched the residence to find the suspect hiding in a closet.
The sheriff's office reports Guy was arrested without incident and no one was injured.
Guy was wanted on warrants in East Feliciana for failure to appear at trial, aggravated battery, and domestic abuse battery in the presence of a child along with an outstanding warrant in East Baton Rouge Parish. He now faces new charges of false imprisonment and domestic abuse battery.
Deputies said more charges are to come after they noticed ATV equipment at the scene that looked out of place and ended up being stolen from East Baton Rouge. They added that other items found at the scene are also being checked.
