Virginia:Escaped Priosner

Police in Virginia are on the hunt for an escaped prisoner who got away from a hospital security guard after stealing his gun. Authorities say Wossen Assaye struggled with the armed guard overnight and swiped his gun before fleeing the hospital in Falls Church, Virginia. He left the hospital barefoot and wearing only a hospital gown. Police also believe that he carjacked a vehicle while on the run. The escape prompted a lockdown at the hospital and the closure of surrounding roads. Assaye was being held on federal bank charges and was undergoing treatment at the hospital for injuries sustained from a suicide attempt. (CBS News)
