VH1 to Honor The "Dirty South" during VH1 Hip Hop Honors

T-Pain, Lil' Jon and Bun B are among the performers who will pay tribute to the 2010 honorees at the VH1 Hip-Hop Honors. This year's edition, which will give props to icons of the Dirty South, will single out Jermaine Dupri, J Prince of Rap-A-Lot Records, Master P, Organized Noize, Luther "Luke" Campbell and 2 Live Crew.


VH1 Hip Hop Honors: Dirty South will air on June 7th.

That's really good for the southern hip hop artists that really contributed to the hip-hop genre (i.e. the geto boys, outkast, No limit records, etc...) The irony is that Southern hip hop of today (omit artists like T.I., Ludacris, Outkast,) for the most part...are the ones that killed hip hop. Am I wrong?
