Urban Quick Hits: Chief Keef, Busta Rhymes and R. Kelly

1. A Chicago parent is furious because her sixth grade student was asked to research CHIEF KEEF for music class. The assignment included questions like: 'Who shot Chief Keef when he was 16?' And 'At what age did he stop attending school?' Clearly, you can see why promoting THAT isn't a good idea.

The student's mother made an EPIC 45-MINUTE video voicing her outrage, and she makes some fantastic points. Early on, she says, quote, "What is a quarter note? What is a half note?

What is four-and-four time? What is a clef? What is a staff?

"These are things that are not being taught to my son . . . We don't send our children to [school] to learn about some dog-gone Chief Keef and how many times he has been shot and what house arrest crime he is on."

For what it's worth, the school says it was a substitute teacher, and they also consider the Chief Keef stuff inappropriate. (Here's the woman's rant. She's a minister, so it doesn't get too R-rated, but preview it before sharing it.)

2. Earlier this month, BUSTA RHYMES copped to hurling a protein drink at a Manhattan gym employee. And now, the "New York Post" has surveillance video of it, and he was ANGRY.

3. R. KELLY sang the National Anthem at the Brooklyn Nets game last night, and he also buried a long jumper while wearing a classy turtleneck and blazer. It's hard to tell from the video whether or not it was behind the three-point line.
