I can't tell you exactly what happened in yet another tragic police shooting however, these are the relevant facts that are known and you can draw your own conclusions.

This young man Dejuan Guillory was shot and killed by the officer below.  Allegedly for a "Robbery" in progress even though he was shot in an open field after 4-Wheeling with his girlfriend.

-DeJuan and DeQuince had just started dating

-Earlier that evening, he was showing her off to family and friends and happy about his business and life, in general.

-They went frogging at the time frogs usually come out on a 4-wheeler

-Deputy LeFleur arrived where they were and a fight ensued (in front of Quince).

- Deputy shot DeJuan four times in the back while he was facedown...in front of Quince.

-The State Police investigators arrested Quince after they arrived on the scene. Not the local police.

-The family believes the burglary was a story to cover why he was in Mamou at the time because he was visiting a woman while on duty, that may or may not have been his fiancé.

If she wasn't willing to cooperate with that story, or if she wanted to immediately tell the world what she saw, one might conclude that this arrest is an obstruction of justice and she is being held to prevent the truth from coming out, or to use these charges as leverage for cooperation...there are tons of conclusions to draw. None of the available scenarios are acceptable for someone her age, who has done nothing wrong.

I can't tell you why Dequince Brown was charged with attempted 1st degree murder (of an officer).

She needs support and awareness so she can get home safely. Alive.

The crazy part is that this particular police department has a history of detaining people illegally while they "investigate" crimes (see below).

All I can think is that they are trying to squeeze her to admitting that she did a crime and silencing her from telling what REALLY happened on that back road in Louisiana.  I pray she stands strong, comes out alive, and tells her TRUTH!
