TYRESE GIBSON: Really Wants to Be Green Lantern

Tyrese Gibson thinks he'd make a good superhero.

The Transformers star has launched an intense campaign to get himself cast as Green Lantern in the upcoming Justice League movies. He posted more than a dozen images on Instagram depicting himself as the DC superhero.

He wrote, "Determined!!! I am fully committed to suiting up for this adventure. In brightest day, in blackest night, No evil shall escape my sight. Let those who worship evil's might, Beware my power, Green Lantern's light!!!

Ryan Reynolds played Green Lantern in the 2011 flop and won't be returning for the Justice League movies, the first of which hits theaters in 2017. There's also Green Lantern standalone flick slated for 2020.

Tyrese has big competition. Last week, Forbes reported that Bradley Cooper was at the top of the studio’s wish list.
