Tyrese Catching HEAT from his Black Female Fans...Lack of "Cocoa" in his NEW Video

Tyrese recently Tweeted a link to a YouTube clip about the making of his new video for "I Gotta Chick" -- and received an angry response from his female Twitter followers. They're peeved about the lack of black women in the clip.

He responded, "I had a two-day audition. I welcomed all women and went with the best. I'm black as [ever]. [I] love my sisters. You do auditions and go for the best!"

• The making of the video features women in lingerie and is fairly suggestive. Could you make the argument that maybe it's better that there aren't any black women? How would you do that?
• What does it say about our culture that women are more concerned that the video lacks black women than that the video lacks clothing for any of the women?
• What do you think about Ty's response? Does being dark-skinned mean that you should always favor people of your own race? Or should we be judged solely on our merits?
