NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Two men are being treated at Vanderbilt University Medical Center after they were shot in an apparent robbery.
Police said one victim is in critical condition after a bullet went into his back, and the other man is in stable condition after a bullet hit his leg.
Officers swarmed Chamberlin Street around 2:30 a.m. Thursday after they received a call about gun shots. Somebody flagged an officer down and that's when authorities spotted the two victims. Both were rushed to the hospital by ambulance.
"At this point into the investigation, we are looking at robbery as a motive," said Metro Police Captain Chris Taylor.
Investigators are looking for two suspects who were seen running from the scene. The victims did not have a good description of the suspects.
