Top 5: Reasons Black Men Date White Women
Many black women get furious when they see a brother walking down the street hand-in-hand with a white woman. The first question that probably comes to her mind is, "Why is he with her? She isn't even cute." Well, here are the top 5 reason why some black men have decided to date white women:
- They don't blame all their problems on black men. You're beautiful, educated, successful, but yet you can't keep a man. Maybe you should stop getting you relationship advice from someone other than Steve Harvey.
- They understand that a woman can be independent without emasculating every man in her path. We know that you don't "need no man to take care of you" or are you going to bend over backwards to make a man happy, but there is something to the idea of making a man feel like a man.
- They don't worship their pastors and judge their men by church attendance. You really think that a man in the church is more ethical, kind and considerate than the rest of them? Yeah, right.
- They don't think that material success and physical attraction are everything. If you listen to some sisters talk, the entire conversation is about with how good they look, how educated they are, and why no man is smart enough to appreciate it. Probably because you are judging yourself and other people on shallow and superficial attributes, which equals a shallow and superficial life.
- They don't consider you a failure if you struggle economically. The most humiliating thing in the world is a woman who clowns a man for not having enough money.
This list obviously does NOT reflect that of most black women, but it is definitely something to think about.

i agree with S Lloyd some black men will use this as a cop-out and others are just sorry and want to be taken care of by a woman. but women do the same things too. black men that date white women should date them simply because they see something in that white woman that makes them want to see more of her. black women just need to say " that black man is gone, let me find another one" there are some GOOD black men that get overlooked by black women for whatever reason. what's wrong with trying to build something with a black man that wants you?

I think it is important to advance your own race. I personally want to get married again, and to a black woman! The key is God made WOMEN for MEN and MEN for WOMEN! The fact is, in my opinion, is that women and men have emotional and/or physical baggage. How willing are you to try to help them heal and learn to trust and love someone again! Be Blessed ALL!

I believe the list is a cop-out for black men; i think "some" black men are looking for a woman to take care of them with out bitching and complaining. I believe black women see black men potientials; and wants to to be all they can be. However, "some" black men want the easy way out of their responsiblies therefore, they date and marry white women or weak ass black women.

i agree with the list, and as i read some of the comments some of the women were defensive and it seemed like they didn't even read the list. if a woman is sucessful and doing well in all aspects of her life, some do look down on a man if he's not making as much money as she is. then if the brother gets an attitude from being looked down on the first thing out of those types of womens mouth is say "a black man can't handle a strong black woman". sometimes it's not that you're strong it's that you've changed into someone that no one wants to be bothered with for any long period of time. i love my black women but alot of ya'll need to look at yourselves and stop downing blackmen just they don't like who you are.

You date, marry who you in love with, not the color of their skin. NO one should have to make you feel like a man that's something you have to be on your own. If it takes a woman, job, car, etc to make you feel like a man you falling short anyway. Black Men can't blame their insecurity on Black Women. If you date or marry a white woman let that be the reason nothing else is needs, again you love who you love. PERIOD!!!!!!!!!

I think the list is a bunch mess!!! I totally agree that you should date whom ever you please. However, you have a lot of black men that date white women for what the white woman can do for then and because they know some of them can be treated any kind of way. Now please know I'm not speaking of all white women, nor am I speaking of all black men that date white women. However, what some of these black men need to realize is that if black women are weak, it is a problem and if they are strong it is a problem. So what do you (black men) really want? The bible says that a wife is suppose to be a help mate and the man is suppose to provide. Now if we get upset because a man is not pulling their weight, then we have that right. If one job is not taking care of your family, you need two. Now I have a small son and I would never tell him who to date, I just want him to be the best man he can be for his family rather it is with a white woman or a black woman.

Those comments could be written about women of all races. Do a man really have to put down a woman of any color? What does that say about him? We all have been in bad realtionships, can't really blame it on the color
of that persons skin. There is good and bad in people of all races. Instead of picking out all the bad, try to be a
little more understanding and look for the good. After all, nobody is perfect except for the Lord. What would become of the black race if all black men felt this way? Kudos to the brothers that stand by our side. We love you, and thank you for staying strong for us. We do need you and appreciate you as well.
