THREE 6 MAFIA: Crunchy Black Busted for Meth

Police in Las Vegas arrested an Oscar-winner yesterday for drug possession.

Three 6 Mafia rapper Crunchy Black was approached by cops when they saw him jaywalking in a busy intersection. They suspected he was high on something and a search quickly turned up meth. And if Crunchy was trying to get out of trouble he's not very good at it because he told cops, "Oh damn. I was trying to buy that powder, not meth."

Crunchy, who along with Three 6 Mafia won an Oscar in 2006 for "It's Hard Out Here for a Pimp" from the movie Hustle & Flow, was booked on possession charges and providing a false name. His real name is Darnell Carlton. But he also has two outstanding warrants for his arrest including one in Minnesota where he is accused of beating his girlfriend.

He has to be more careful in Las Vegas. Three years ago in "Sin City" he was shot in the leg and face.
