This time the Air Traffic Controllers Done Messed Up BAD!

This time air traffic controllers messed with the wrong plane -- it was carrying Michelle Obama.

Due to the apparent error, the first lady's plane had to abort its landing yesterday at Joint Base Andrews because it was too close to a military jet.

Planes are required to be separated by five miles, but controllers let the Boeing 737 carrying Michelle Obama get within three miles of a C-17 military cargo plane, FAA sources told ABC News.

Once they became aware of the problem, controllers told Obama's plane -- known as Executive One Foxtrot -- to circle to create some distance between it and the other plane. Yet even after the cargo plane was on the ground, the controllers were worried the runway wouldn't be clear in time for Obama's plane to land, so they asked the pilot to perform another circle around the airport. No one on the plane was aware of the problems other than the pilot.
