The Tonya Ross Tragedy and The Cycle of Violence in North Nashville

Here's a picture of Tonya Ross.  Enjoying life and friends.  She was a mother of 4.  A Resident of North Nashville.  Unfortunately, a random bullet struck her in the head earlier this week and now she's gone.

The situation in North Nashville is going in the wrong direction.

It's getting worse!  In the last few months, we've lost a grandfather, a student, and a mother.  Innocent people that have nothing to do with Gangs or the distriubtion of crack cocaine and weed in these communities are being gunned down by these senseless gangsters.

It doesn't matter if they were killed due to accident or not.  These people are gone.  Children no longer have a mother.  Boys no longer have their dad's wise council.  Friends suffer grief over their lost ones.  ENOUGH!!

NORTH NASHVILLE - Take back your community!  This violence will continue to happen as long as the citizens in that community feel powerless.  You have power.  USE IT!

Start with phone calls. Call your councilmen.  Call your mayor.  Call your Police Chief.  And not by yourself...get a group of a few hundred together and do it!  There is power in NUMBERS!

When you can be at home lying in bed and get gunned down by a dope boy/gangster...it is time to stand up - or you/yours could be next!

I say this often:  Since some of these parents are raising animals, we, the civilized of us must build more cages for them.  Some of these parents have unleashed their "human pitbull" on the rest of us.  Let's deal with it!

Tonya Ross...We will never forget you :(
