The Tennessee Titans are attempting to trade running back Chris Johnson, according to Pro Football Talk andNFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
It won't be easy, given that Johnson is due to make $8 million next season and in 2015, and doesn't have a sterling reputation around the league. Last week, Johnson's former teammate, Keith Bulluck, didn't give Johnson the most endearing scouting report.
"He's a friend of mine but when it comes to athlete, he's a 'me' person," Bulluck said. "He's a 'me' person when it comes to the athlete. For the years that he's been there, it's never been his fault why he didn't have a good running game or why he didn't have a good game. It was always somebody else's fault. I'm not surprised that CJ hasn't come in to even meet coach or see what's going on in general. I'm not surprised by that."
The Titans and Johnson have met this offseason to discuss his future, but there was no immediate resolution. The Titans had considered bringing him back, but not at that price.
