I'm very proud of TSU, what gets me is the black race thats seems to put it down just as much. it's not surprising that we can not get ahead as the people . I'm proud that my mother and daugter finished TSU and loved it as well as I do, my daughter loved homecoming even before she went, it was like xmas to her, all i want to say is black people back up our black colleges no matter what, and be proud.
First of all, it is sad that no one has bothered to read or even seem to care about this blog. That might be an indication as to what is really going on with the TSU's enrollment and continual problems...the community in which it resides seems not to care. Me personally, I am a product of HBCUs' in NC. There is nothing like extending the black experience in higher education. I currently attend Meharry and find that the lack of concern of African-Americans about education has meant multiple problems for HBCUs. TSU seems to just be geting the worst of it! Most of the students that attend HBCUs are usually from the surrounding comuunities. So I guess the main question my be how do you get the community to care enough to fight for a vital part of history....keeping the doors of our colleges open!
