That's important because Boosie now faces trial on the charges, and because of the three strikes law in Louisiana he's facing 20 years in prison. Dayum ... Police in Baton Rouge, Louisiana have also accused hometown rapper Lil Boosie of offering a bribe to an officer who arrested him on marijuana and gun charges -- a complication that could up the ante at his upcoming trial. One of the officers who busted Boosie last October testified on Monday that the M-C allegedly said to the officer -- "This is Boosie. How much do you want?" When the trial begins on September 28th, Boosie faces up to 20 years in prison on the weed charges as a third-time offender, as well as a mandatory minimum of five years for the gun charge.
Las Vegas police are investigating an incident in which shots were fired at a man less than an hour after boxing champ Floyd Mayweather Junior threatened his life. Quincey Williams says that Mayweather confronted him over a text message exchange they'd had earlier and warned that he "has enough money to have me hit." Shortly thereafter, Williams says he heard several shots come from the direction of the boxer and his bodyguards. Police said Mayweather has been cooperative in their investigation and that he is not a suspect in the shooting.
