Metro Schools Offer H1N1 Flu Virus

There will soon be an easy way for parents to get their kids vaccinated for the H1N1 Flu virus. The Metro Health Department has teamed up with Metro schools to offer the H1N1 flu vaccine to kids for free. The vaccine is expected to arrive in the midstate later in the week. School officials said they would send information packets home with students soon. Parents will also be contacted by phone.

YOUR HEATING BILL IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN

Piedmont Natural Gas, the former Nashville Gas, estimates that its average residential customers will pay about $100 a month to heat their homes between November and March, or $25 per month less than a year ago, if the warmer forecast holds true.

RAP STAR SHYNE RELEASE FROM PRISON

Rap star Shyne, convicted of a club shooting while mentor P. Diddy beat the rap, was released from prison Tuesday and taken into custody by immigration officials. The 30-year-old ex-protégé has a green card but is facing deportation to his native Belize because of his felony rap sheet, his lawyer said. Shyne was on the verge of superstardom when he was arrested in 1999 for a shooting at Club New York.

Diddy, partying with then-gal pal Jennifer Lopez, was also charged but acquitted at trial. His young star got 10 years on assault and weapons charges. It is also news that Diddy is trying to re-sign Shyne to his New Label and is throwing Shyne a "Welcome Home Shyne" party...ain't that about a *BLEEP*

KANDI BURRUSS: More Details on A-J's Death

Frederick Richardson, the suspect in the murder of Kandi Burruss's on-again/off-again Ashley Jewell, was ordered held without bond during his arraignment in Atlanta yesterday. Richardson's attorney, Dennis Scheib, claims his client was provoked when Jewell pulled a gun on him after the two exchanged words at the Body Tap club last Friday. They argued later in the parking lot. "A-J comes out and says 'I've got something for you.' He takes off his shirt...and hits Richardson twice." He says Richardson drove off to the hospital and that "A-J was walking away. He wasn't beaten to death. We don't know what killed him." Richardson is due back in court on October 20th.

SEAN "DIDDY" COMBS: A Brand New Diddy

Sean "Diddy" Combs says his new disc Last Train to Paris won't be more of the same. He tells Ebony, "I think the longer you're in this game, the less urgent your presence is if you don't know how to re-invent yourself. For me, it's important to make sure that I gave what I never gave before. The consumer always wants something new and fresh. So you have to give 'em a new, fresh you." But Diddy realizes that not everyone will appreciate his new direction, which is why he's added the tag "get on or get off" to the November album-launch campaign. Diddy's mentor and former boss, music executive Andre Harrell, adds, "Now it's the Obama generation and you can't just be tough, you gotta be smart. This opens [music] up to different types of people and fashion that are smart."

Usher's divorce delayed?

A few months ago, R&B singer Usher stunned his fans by filing to divorce his wife of two years, Tameka Raymond. But now, according to reports, Usher is dragging his feet on finalizing his divorce. An insider tells us that Usher and Tameka's divorce is all set, and all that's left to do is for Usher to sign the papers. But according to our snitch, Usher hasn't signed.

Is it because of a possible reconciliation with Tameka? No, claims our insider. Usher just wants to make the divorce official on the same date as he launches his new album -- you know, for promotion.

Why Jay Z and Beyonce Don't Have No Kids

Jay Z is finally coming out to explain why he and Beyonce don't have any children yet. In a recent interview with Britain's Clash magazine the interviewer asked Jay Z whether he and Beyonce intended on having any children. Jay said, "I definitely want to have children myself. I'm just waiting until the woman feels ready for that too."

Does this really surprise anyone? Beyonce's a career gal. I'll bet that she keeps her uterus camel free until at least she drops a couple of more albums.

LIZ TAYLOR FACING HEART SURGERY

Elizabeth Taylor has checked into a Los Angeles hospital to undergo a heart operation that's not considered life-threatening. The 77-year-old actress tweeted the news herself, saying the operation is "very new and involves repairing my leaky valve using a clip device, without open heart surgery, so that my heart will function better. Any prayers you happen to have lying around I would dearly appreciate. I'll let you know when it's all over."

JUSTIN AND RIHANNA NOT JUST CO-WORKERS

Justin Timberlake and Rihanna might be getting down and dirty -- but don't expect them to get serious any time soon. A friend of Justin's tells FOX News, "[Early last month], they spent quality time together and got a little naughty at Jay-Z's club, 40/40. Justin and Rihanna were having fun and there was a lap dance involved. They are way beyond co-workers. "But Justin is a private guy and it would be difficult for him to date Rihanna under so much scrutiny. He likes to keep his life to himself, but they have unbelievable chemistry."
