ANDRE 3000: Busted Speeding

Andre 3000 was arrested over the weekend after Georgia police clocked him going almost 109 miles per hour in his 2007 Porsche Carrera. The rapper, born Andre Benjamin, was arrested on a stretch of Atlanta's I-75 where the speed limit is 65. A spokesman for the police said that Andre was traveling so fast that he was "an accident waiting to happen." Andre was arrested for the danger he posed to other drivers, and subsequently released after posting an unspecified bond. He's due in court to face charges on April 29th.


PRINCE: Three Shows for Three Discs

Prince released his new three-disc set Sunday. He led up to the release by playing three very different sets of music with three different bands at three different venues Saturday night. The shows all took place in the L-A Live complex in downtown Los Angeles. The first was at the Nokia Theater, followed by the Conga Room and Club Nokia.

The opening show was largely a mixture of the Artist's pre-1990 hits and classic R-and-B, pop and funk covers, including a few Prince had a creative hand in. Among those was the show-closer -- Sheila E's "Glamorous Life" -- featuring a guest appearance by Sheila herself. The second set featured Prince's guitar hero side, including a Jimi Hendrix cover. The final set was a late-starting jazzy chill-out, with a guest appearance by Chaka Khan on her hit "Sweet Thing." One thing that united all three sets was bad sound quality, which brought complaints from Prince at each of the shows.

The new collection -- which is available exclusively at Target -- features two new discs by Prince -- Lotus Flower and M-P-L-Sound, and one by his current protege, singer Bria Valente.

Some Hagerstown, Maryland inmates were given a strange new job when a lost two-and-a-half-year-old boy was left in their care until his parents could be notified. The boy was found running down the center of a rural highway on which the six minimum-security prisoners were working. Under the watchful eyes of their guards, the inmates made sure the boy was entertained and even gave him some of their lunches until his parents could be found. After being contacted, the father let authorities know that he had left the boy in the care of his 18-year-old daughter, who inexplicably left the boy alone. No charges were filed.
