The suspected serial killer known as the "Grim Sleeper" was apprehended yesterday in South Los Angeles thanks to a discarded piece of pizza. Ending a 25-year investigation related to 11 deaths, police arrested 57-year-old Lonnie David Franklin Jr. Police cracked the case after getting Franklin's DNA from a discarded piece of pizza, which linked him to the crimes. He's a one-time city trash collector who also had a stint working as a garage attendant for the LAPD. Franklin's neighbors were shocked to hear the news. The "Grim Sleeper" name was inspired by a 14-year hiatus in the killings, which coincided with a period when Franklin was on disability
