T.I. has come to Iggy Azalea's defense after Rah Digga blasted Iggy last week for not being "real" or attempting to represent "Australian hip-hop culture."
“I think [Iggy's] influence in music should be attributed to her work ethic, her artistic views, her impeccable ability to – she has a vision for herself and she will not compromise,” said Tip in an interview with Hard Knock TV. “I think she should be judged based on that rather than her creed, nationality, or what country she’s from. Those are stereotypes.”
When asked if he'd categorize Iggy as a pop or rap act, Tip replied, "I'd put her wherever she made the most noise." He adds that classifying her would "diminish" her ability of bringing people together.
"She can go in a lot of different genres, because she's cross-pollinated," he says.
