STOCK MARKET: Roller-Coaster Day for Wall Street

The stock market went up and down like a roller-coaster on Monday, but unfortunately for investors, it ended with another big drop before closing.

The instability has been attributed to the Chinese economy, which has proven not to be as robust as once believed. That fear sent the Dow Jones industrial average dropping album 1,100 points, making the largest drop ever recording during a trading day.

Although the  market rebounded, coming only 115 points from breaking even, later in the afternoon it took another big drop, down 588 points or 3.6%, at 15,871.
