STEVE NASH: Going to the Lakers?

ESPN is reporting that two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash is coming to the Los Angeles Lakers from the Phoenix Suns.

The New York Knicks were also reportedly trying to get Nash, but he opted for the Lakers after being convinced by Kobe Bryant that he'd have a legitimate shot at the title in L.A. and still be close to his three children in Phoenix.

Music fans may recognize Nash's name from Nelly Furtado's 2008 hit "Promiscuous," which includes the lines, "Is that the truth or are you talkin' trash? / Is your game MVP like Steve Nash?"

The deal can't be officially done until July 11th, when the NBA's moratorium on new business is lifted.
