The City of Nashville mourns the loss of it's Field General, Father, Friend, and all around good guy, STEVE MCNAIR.

Killed today by a gunshot wound to the head.

Information is flurrying about the murder, but it appears to be a murder-suicide at the hands of a female acquaintance according to police sources.

I will hit you with the details as things develop...

Damn...My heart is heavy for his family and our great city~~~

The last time I saw Steve McNair waa about a 1 ago at celebrity basketball game at tsu. When the game was over, he was the only celebrity basketball player that hung around and signed everybody's autograph! I saw other celebrities leaving with the quickness, but he was the only one polite enough to stay there for the fans! He was one class act!

I cannot believe this is happening. My prayers are with the McNair family during this tragic time. We have indeed lost a real genuine individual here in Nashville.

We are losing too many of, what God would call souls for His Kingdom. What we all must do is PRAY for the entire nation. Just take a moment and read and then meditate on 2 Chronicles 7:14. With God's help the McNair family will be strenghtened. Love, Cathy Dj

This is a sad 4th of July day...RIP Steve you will be missed dearly not only by your fans around the world but by all the kid's here in Nashville where you made a difference in their life being a role model. You will always be remembered here in Nashville as a Great Sports Legend who wore the #9 jersey. My prayers go out to the McNair family especially to his boy's who now does not have a father. I am so devastated.
