The City of Nashville mourns the loss of it's Field General, Father, Friend, and all around good guy, STEVE MCNAIR.

Killed today by a gunshot wound to the head.

Information is flurrying about the murder, but it appears to be a murder-suicide at the hands of a female acquaintance according to police sources.

I will hit you with the details as things develop...

Damn...My heart is heavy for his family and our great city~~~

My heart goes out not only to the wife and children, but also to his mother and any other members of his extended family. But we should always remeber the good things that Steve has done for Nashville. May God be with them every step of the way. Always remember that God will not put more on you than you can bear.

Gone to soon, this wasn't a punishment from God. However, he was just not protected any more--God doesn't kill, steal, or destroy! We all no Satin does. I believe Steve was a good spirited person as alot of men, Steve is one of the few who got caught, don't be to quick to judge. God Bless his soul. p.s. I hope this tragic sets an example for many.

OMG my thoughts and prayers and just shaking my head side to side for Mrs Mcnair and all 4 sons.. Such a shame .. How many more married men are gonna die for pussy ?? That they do not need or have to pay for when there is a wife at home....MAN if the marriage sucks get the F out of it.. If he were a single man I bet this wouldn't have happened.. Another thing we all need to stop holding sports and musical entertainers accountable to be role models.. They are human and make mistakes just like we all do,, Parents need to be praised as role models.. Now we will have to explain,oh by the way he was a role model but not a good one in his personal life.. He was just a man who played a game, sport very well and wanted to help his community.. Unfortunatly died too young due to bad choices that all humans are capible of.. So sad for his family!! Wake up married men this could be your hide next...Is it really worth it to you??

Steve McNair was as you said a father and a friend to those who knew him. Things like this just lets us know that life is really to short. Stop playing games and bs's with people that you have no interest in. Bottom line a life is a life is a life. Meaning everyone is human no matter how rich and famous they may be. RIP Steve. My prayers to his wife and family.
