St. Patrick's Day Trivia/Lil Kim & Superhead/Rihanna Dumps Chris Brown???

ST. PATRICK HIMSELF

St. Patrick was not actually Irish -- he was born to Scottish parents in Roman Britain.

He was captured by the Druids in Ireland and sold into slavery. He was eventually returned to his family by Roman sailors.

St. Patrick became a priest and returned to Ireland to convert the Irish pagans to Christianity by using shamrocks to explain the Holy Trinity.

St. Patrick has the reputation for driving the snakes out of Ireland. This is probably not true -- snakes were not indigenous to Ireland during his time.

FUN FACTS ABOUT THE HOLIDAY

Since it started in 1762, New York City has held one of the largest St. Patrick's Day parades in the world. More than 150-thousand people will take five hours to march a mile and a half along Fifth Avenue.

Dublin, Ireland began having parades to honor its patron saint only in 1995, and only to boost tourism.

In Chicago, 40 pounds of dye are dumped into the Chicago River to turn it green for several hours during St. Patrick's Day.

Corned beef and cabbage is not a traditional Irish meal. Though cabbage is typically Irish, it was usually served with Irish bacon. At the turn of the century, Irish immigrants on New York's Lower East Side learned about a cheaper alternative to bacon from their Jewish neighbors -- corned beef.

Though green beer is typically served in pubs all over America, you'd be hard pressed to find a pub in Ireland that will serve it that way.

In Ireland, Guinness Stout is given to blood donors and post-operative stomach and intestinal patients because of its high iron content.

LIL' KIM: Owes the IRS a Milli

Lil' Kim is in hot water with the I-R-S, to the tune of almost one-million dollars. According to the Detroit News, the Queen Bee owes 979-thosuand dollars in delinquent state and federal taxes. A spokeswoman for Kim acknowledges the debt, saying, "Lil' Kim is paying her tax debt and will continue to do so."

This isn't the first time Kim has had trouble paying her bills. Last year, her Bentley was repossessed after she fell behind on her payments.

Lil' Kim isn't the only Dancing With the Stars contestant behind on taxes. The Detroit News reports that David Allen Grier owes the state of California 49-thousand dollars. --Chris Morrow

KARRINE "SUPERHEAD" STEFFANS: Found God?

Karrine "Superhead" Steffans looks to be ready to give her life over to God. A source tells MediaTakeout-dot-com, "She's going around telling everyone that she's been 'called to the ministry' and she's working on becoming an evangelist." --Chris Morrow

Phone Topics: Is Superhead the last person you'd expect to join the ministry? Who would be a bigger surprise? 50 Cent? Lil' Kim? Foxy Brown? Chris Brown?

RIHANNA DUMPS THE CHUMP?

Has Rihanna finally come to her senses and dumped Chris Brown? MediaTakeOut-dot-com claims that Rihanna has given Chris the heave-ho -- not because he abused her, but because he refused to fire his manager, Tina Davis, the woman who allegedly sent the three-page text message that ignited the entire controversy.

A source says, "Rihanna will not take him back, especially if there is still any kind of relationship between him and Tina Davis -- personal or professional. But he is not prepared to fire her, and [so he] lost Rihanna."

Warner Brothers, meanwhile, is shooting down another Rihanna rumor -- dismissing reports that she was being fitted to step into Whitney Houston's shoes in a remake of the movie The Bodyguard.

IF YOU'RE GONNA GET PULLED OVER, PRAY IT'S HERE

A Mount Gilead, Ohio court is apparently in need of a local office supply store as they are unable to take on certain crimes because of a paper shortage. The court will not be accepting any new civil, small claims, criminal and traffic cases because of the loose leaf problem. Judge Lee McClelland says, "Basically, unless they want to provide paper, we can't process anything."
