Tennessee Titans running back Shonn Greene was arrested in a Franklin for speeding away and almost hitting a parking enforcement officer when he was being written a ticket for illegally parking in a handicap space.
The Titan was forced to stop due to traffic and the officer approached him again to issue the parking ticket. And Greene sped away AGAIN.
Greene turned himself in on Friday night after being told warrants had been obtained for his arrest.
The veteran running back was charged with driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, failure to stop/halt/frisk and illegal parking says Sgt Warner of Franklin police.
Greene was released on $2,000 bond and is due in court Nov. 13.
The Titans released a statement saying, "This is not the type of behavior we expect from any member of our organization". "We will continue to gather additional information as it becomes available and handle the matter internally."
The Quickies
Dude, it was a simple parking violation. You should have just taken the ticket and went on about your merry way.
You run on the field but you can't out run a ticket.
I wonder if this will affect his performance against the Texans today.
Was all this worth the effort of not getting a parking ticket?
