It is sad in both cases, but your right these things need to be reported so people can recognize that we have war in our streets in America, why doesnt the government send help for it's own citizens as well. It is like they just want everybody to kill each other away so they dont have to worry. The gangs and crime battles are the same as when we see barbaric people conquer cities and kill others for crazy stupid reason or for just no reason at all. An American will sue a institution or business in a heart beat cause their rights were violated etc. So why can't there be more done for victims & to prevent criminals from the attacks in the first place. They truly are violating Americans rights when they break in and steal, kill, control, rape, disrespect & violate rights in our own streets. It's there plan as day for all to see and what will they consider to fix this problem & prevent more senseless deaths of our own nation. I compare it to disaters in other countrys and Americans come to the rescue and when disasters happen on home soil, the government is learning to rescue it's people the same if not better than foreign land. So the same is when we go and try to make peace in other countries, we need to make peace in our country as well, in addition. I think people who show signs of violence and crimes against others should be punished right away. And more heavily each offense, I dont think society is getting any better with slaps on the wrist so much & until someone is dead then give them serious punishment. The Government should let America know that it cares and will do all to prevent other innocent lives from being takin. Show they value lives before these tragedy's and crimes. The system of course has a lot of faults. They put a man in prison for selling particular substance for 25-45 years, but if someone kill somebody they give you 10 years here in there.It appears the system cares more about the money others make under the table (I do not support drug dealers just speaking on the concept) then someone who has taken a precious life out right. It is just not weighed right. I think the drug dealer, the criminal, the murder, the rapist should be punished to the maximum. Freedom is a privilege you dont have to earn in America, but if you violate others and their rights, Freedom can be lost. Society needs to understand these serious crimes will put and keep you behind bars. And these sex offenders , man I keep hearing about when they go to jail for 5 or 10 year when they come out they repeat but with murdering their victims because they dont want to go back and they think if I kill this person, no one will know and I wont have to go back. Crimes against people should be taken more seriously, why would you put someone back in society that lived their life hurting and destroying others life. They have already proven the crime of such that they dont respect society , it's people, and others rights. I know I am goin on and on, but this particular Revelation reaches so much deeper than the numbers. There has got to be some way to stop this and change things that are just broke. and need renovation. But yes Kenny online family, this is real in every state & should be addressed. I remember the man who saved the life of the female soldier in captivity and all the time he served overseas, he gets killed by an American on American soil. That is just bizarre. If I were an Iraqi that would make me laugh at America.This is not the image and patterns that America should be displaying. The Civil war was already fought. We should not be allowed to create new ones everywhere. When I am passionate about a subject I have to try to share as much as I can so forgive me for leaving such a long comment. If I put my comments from online together I may have a best selling book when edited and complete etc. It's just me guys most of the time, sometimes I'll leave a sentence or two, but its rare. hey, I think I should just become a serious writer. What yall think ? : )

WE have a major problem! Not them...not Chicago...WE! The time for talking, marching, praying, etc...is over. We have to step up or all the sacrifices our forefathers made will be in vein.

Its pretty bad....If I am not mistaking the number is over half of that now and we haven't reached 6 month this year. They need some help. Me and my friend spent a week in Chi-town in April and we visited an after school program there (her friend was the director). The stories I heard from the mentors were WILD.
