Screen Time Reduced for Terrence Howard on Empire

When Empire returns for its second season, do not expect to see a lot of Lucious Lyon. Producers have reportedly reduced actor Terrence Howard’s role.

Due to the actor’s nasty divorce and on-going legal troubles, the show cannot depend upon him putting in a full day of work on a regular basis.

The season-ending cliffhanger had Lucious Lyon arrested for murder. A source informed the New York Post, (quote) “What they are doing is two-fold. They have Lucious locked up so you won’t be seeing him in as many scenes. They’re also bringing in so many guest stars that the average viewer won’t miss him.”
