CHANCE THE RAPPER: Frustrated After Meeting With Governor

Posted: Sunday 03:58PM Mar. 05, 2017 PT

Chance the Rapper met with the governor of Illinois last week, but there’s still much more work to be done.

After severe storms caused the original meeting to be pushed back, Chano finally got a chance to chat with Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner on Friday. And while the Chicago rapper hasn’t officially commented on how the meeting went, it seems like he’s disappointed with the outcome. After meeting, Chance was seen telling the state’s top politician to “do [his] job.”

After, he went on social media to share his feelings with followers. He retweeted stories about how he was “frustrated” with “vague answers.” He tweeted, “The fight has just begun…Chicago Public Schools and I did not lose today. Please don’t let that become the narrative. Monday morning I’ll have a plan."

TRUMP NEWS

FBI: Comey Asks Justice Department to Reject Trump's Wiretapping Claim

FBI director James Comey is in the news again. Over the weekend, he called on the Justice Department to reject President Trump's claim that then-President Obama ordered Trump's phones tapped at Trump Tower.

Comey said the claim, which was tweeted by Trump on Saturday morning, is false and the record should be set straight, but so far the Justice Department has yet to comment on it.

Comey made the request in part because the claim implies that the FBI broke the law.

Instead of backing off from the claim, Trump doubled down on Sunday, calling for a congressional investigation into whether Obama had broken federal law by having the FBI engage in such activities before the 2016 presidential election.

SCHWARZENEGGER: Trump Says He Was Fired

Arnold Schwarzenegger says he quit Celebrity Apprentice, but President Trump says he was fired.  A day after the Governator announced the news, the commander in chief took time out of his busy schedule to take a swipe at his TV replacement. On Saturday, Trump tweeted, "Arnold Schwarzenegger isn't voluntarily leaving the Apprentice, he was fired by his bad (pathetic) ratings, not by me. Sad end to great show."  Arnie shot back, writing, "You should think about hiring a new joke writer and a fact checker."  In an interview with Empire magazine, Schwarzenegger blamed the show's low ratings on the Donald. Arnold said, "Everyone I ran into came up to me and said 'I love the show ... but I turned it off because as soon as I read Trump's name I'm outta there!'"

BIGGIE SMALLS: SUV for Sale

First it was Tupac’s Bimmer and this time it’s Biggie's truck.

The GMC Suburban that The Notorious B.I.G. was fatally shot in after attending a VIBE party in 1997 is up for sale. The price tag that memorabilia site Moments In Time has listed for the SUV is $1.5 million, the same price that the BMW Tupac was fatally shot in is going for.  According to TMZ, the current owners of the Suburban didn’t know they were in possession of one of the greatest artifacts in hip-hop history. They bought it from a broker the same year of Biggie’s passing because they needed a larger car for their family of 6.

U.S. MARINES: Revenge Porn Scandal

The U.S. Marine Corps is wrapped up in a sex scandal after a private Facebook group called "Marines United" was discovered containing naked photos of female military personnel.

It appears to be part of a backlash for the change in assignments of Marine infantry units. At the beginning of the year, women became able to join. They’ve discovered their private images shared on the Facebook page.

A top commander said, "We need to be brutally honest: This behavior hurts fellow Marines, family members, and civilians. It is a direct attack on our ethos and legacy."

The Pentagon is reportedly investigating hundreds of Marines for their participation in what is commonly called "revenge porn." The veteran who disclosed to top brass the "Marines United" Facebook page has received death threats. (Marine Corps Times)
