By most accounts, Lauryn Hill was planning to join The Weeknd for his Grammy performance. So what’s the reason for her no-show? According to Hill’s camp, she was never officially announced on the show and didn’t get enough time to prepare for a possible performance. But Recording Academy president Neil Portnow confirms that she missed a planned “surprise” appearance, showing up for dress rehearsal but not making it to the actual show on time. The Weeknd allegedly waited “until the moment,” but she never made it through the doors.

Sage the Gemini poured his heart out on Instagram to try and get his ex Jordin Sparks back after seeing her at Clive Davis’s Grammy party. In the post, he talks about how hurt he is that she’s no longer in his life and how he hoped they could spend Valentine’s Day on a double date with her grandparents for their anniversary.

Ice Cube didn’t have time for the Grammys Monday night. After presenting the award for Best Rap Album with his son, O’Shea Jackson Junior, Cube snapchatted his exit from the Staples Center to watch the rest of the show from home. Cube said, “If any of y’all thought I was gonna stay through that three-hour B.S., you out of your batty ass mind.”
