Robert De Niro is out on the streets -- sort of. He's looking for a place to live in New York after a fire damaged his apartment in June.

De Niro and his wife, Grace Hightower, were out of the country when a dryer lint trap caught fire and spread to several apartments in his Upper West Side building. They've decided the place is unlivable and are going to gut the place -- but the problem is they haven't found anywhere else in the Big Apple to live.

Apartments in the swanky building go for as much as $25 million.
