Rih Rih Yanked From Thursday Night Football

In the midst of the Ray Rice scandal, a Rihanna track has been pulled from the opening of Thursday Night Football.

Jay Z's hit "Run This Town," with features Rih Rih, was scheduled to be featured tonight (Thursday) while Don Cheadle introduced the teams. According to reports, CBS didn't want to play a track that featured a celebrity who has been involved in a high-profile domestic violence incident. Reports saying the Rihanna was scheduled to perform the track live were incorrect, according to reps for CBS and the singer.

CBS Sports Chairman Sean McManus says, "We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone coverage."

The segment featuring Rhianna was replaced by a discussion of the NFL's handling of the Ray Rice incident.
