Revered House Legend - Frankie Knuckles Passes Away :-(

(AllHipHop News) Frankie Knuckles, a pioneer House Music, has died suddenly.

Details are not widely available at press time, but the sad news has been confirmed by 5 Magazine. The nature of his death is unknown.

Frankie was born in the Bronx, but migrated to Chicago, where he became famous. In the 70′s he was a disco DJ, but evolved in the late 70′s into a House DJ. In fact, he coined the term based on his nights spinning records at The Warehouse in Chicago.

Knuckles was also a producer who produced a bevy of songs that moved people on the dance floor.

He was often considered the “Kool Herc of House Music” to state his significance to the genre as it relates to Hip-Hop.

On Facebook, House Music Artist Paul Johnson stated, “Planet Earth “Frankie Knuckles” Our Godfather Of House Music Has Passed Away.
