RELATIONSHIPS: Is Your Man on the Down Low?

According to the Centers for Disease Control, "more than three million women are or have been wives or girlfriends of men who secretly have sex with other men."And the Family Pride Coalition has recently estimated that at least 20 percent of all gay men in America are in heterosexual marriages.

A lot of women in these relationships are unaware that their men are engaging in "Brokeback" activity, which is a growing problem in our community.

There's nothing wrong with being gay, but hiding it is a problem. Here are a few clues to identify if your man is on the down low:

He's no longer interested in sex with you. It doesn't necessarily mean that it's same-sex infidelity -- it could be a good old-fashioned affair. But it's definitely an overt sign to watch out for.

He engages in more non-verbal communication with men than with you. Usually men greet each other with a pound or some other type of non-verbal communication. But if you notice your man hugging, touching or looking at another fella a bit too long, you many have a situation.Especially if he doesn't hug, touch or look at you in the same way.

He spends long periods of time on the phone with other men. There's nothing wrong with him talking to one of his boys, but it's on a consistent basis for long periods of time, and it's something he doesn't do with you, this may be a warning sign.

He's too busy and tired for you, but not for a man. If he tells you he's too busy or tired to spend time with you but always seems to find the energy to chill with one of his boys, it's safe to say it looks a little suspect.
