Ravens Star Ray Rice Gets Indicted

Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice was indicted yesterday (Thursday) for third-degree aggravated assault in the alleged attack on his wife in Atlantic City, New Jersey last month. Rice is accused of striking his wife and knocking her unconscious.

Rice's lawyer denies the aggravated assault accusation and expects the charge to be dropped. He says Rice and his wife, Janay Palmer, are together and don't want to proceed with the case. He says they're happy and in counseling. If the case moves forward and Rice is convicted, he could receive a sentence of up to five years in jail. (ESPN)
