R. Kelly's Ex-Girlfriend Claims He Boasted of 'Training' a 14-Year-Old Girl to Be His 'Pet'

Yesterday, The Guardian reported that an ex-girlfriend of R. Kelly’s named Kitti Jones has claimed that the singer admitted to grooming an unnamed woman to be his “sex slave” (The Guardian’s word choice) since she was 14 years old.

The allegations are reportedly made in a BBC3 documentary that will be aired on Wednesday. According to Jones, 34, during the course of their two-year courtship that began in 2011, she was introduced to the woman, although it’s not clear exactly how old the woman was at the time:

    “I was introduced to one of the girls, that he told me he ‘trained’ since she was 14, those were his words. I saw that she was dressed like me, that she was saying the things I’d say and her mannerisms were like mine. That’s when it clicked in my head that he had been grooming me to become one of his pets. He calls them his pets.”

Jones also said Kelly forced the unnamed woman to “crawl on the floor towards me and perform oral sex on me, and he said, ‘This is my fucking pet, I trained her. She’s going to teach you how to be with me.’”

At the time of publication, Kelly’s representatives had commented on neither The Guardian’s nor the BBC’s stories. In the past, Kelly has denied allegations of sexual abuse. In July, Jones was one of four women who spoke about Kelly for a Buzzfeed investigation in which he was accused of “brainwashing” women and controlling them sexually in a cult-like arrangement. These claims Kelly “unequivocally” denied.
