R Kelly Not Under Investigation...YET/Bruno Mars Is The MAN!

R. KELLY: Not Under Investigation

Last week, an Atlanta city councilman called a press conference to demand an investigation into the sex cult allegations surrounding R. Kelly.  Now that the dust has settled around the allegations, the Fulton County District Attorney Paul Howard has announced his office is not currently investigating Kelly, according to Atlanta's Fox 5.

Fulton County commission chairman John Eaves, who is running for mayor of Atlanta, called a press conference on Friday to demand an investigation into the situation. He alleged the investigators who were working the case had found new information that raised some concerns.

Despite his request, D.A. Howard revealed shortly after the conference that no criminal investigation into Kelly’s actions is being conducted at this time, but he will “examine the R. Kelly file to determine next steps.”

BRUNO MARS: Big Donation for Flint

Bruno Mars may not be a "Billionaire," but he shared a whole lot of his green with the people of Flint, Michigan. The singer donated a million bucks to help bring clean water to the troubled town.

Mars announced the gift during a concert in Detroit, and followed that with a statement saying, "As people, especially as Americans, we need to stand together to make sure something like this never happens in any community ever again."

The people of Flint have been unable to drink tap water for years thanks to politicians who covered up poisonous levels of lead in the system. (USA Today)

USAIN BOLT: Loses, Goes Down in Final Race

Olympic superstar sprinter Usain Bolt ran his final race of his career over the weekend in London, but he did not go out the way he wanted to.

After a lengthy delay, Bolt ran the final leg of Jamaica's 4x100 team and suffered a hamstring injury. His team finished third as Bolt fell to the track. The race went off 40 minutes late and many believe the delay was likely the reason behind Bolt's leg cramping up. Earlier in the meet, Bolt was surprisingly beaten in the 100 meter final, which was his final individual race.

Though he would have preferred to go into retirement with a final win, Bolt says he's comforted by all he's accomplished during his record-setting career. He said, "I don't think one championships is going to change what I've done. I remember after losing the 100 meters, someone said to me: 'Don't worry. Muhammad Ali lost his last fight also, so don't be stressed about it.' I have proven myself year in, year out through my whole career." (ESPN)

EZEKIEL ELLIOTT: Appealing Six Game Suspension

Ezekiel Elliott of the Dallas Cowboys has this week to appeal his six-game sentence. The NFL handed down the suspension due to allegations of repeated domestic abuse.

The decision is a huge blow the Dallas Cowboys season and to their high-profile running back. He tweeted on Friday a statement that said, "I strongly disagree with the NFL’s findings. I admit that I am far from perfect, but I plan to continue to work very hard -- on and off the field -- to mature and earn the great opportunity that I have been given.”

Just last month, Elliott was involved in a barroom brawl. He allegedly sent a man to the hospital with a bruising punch to the nose. At a St. Patrick’s Day Parade he exposed a woman’s breasts by pulling down her shirt. (ESPN)

YG: Traffic Stop Escalates

What started as an ordinary traffic stop quickly escalated after YG refused to present ID or get out of his vehicle.

TMZ reports that the Compton rapper was driving in his Maybach in Burbank, California when cops noticed dark tinted windows and pulled him over. They asked for a license and registration, but YG shut the request down. He also refused to exit the vehicle, telling the cops he didn't trust them and saying he was afraid they would hurt him if he exited the vehicle.

Multiple patrol cars rolled up to the scene for backup and YG eventually got out. He was cited for not having ID, tinted windows and no license plates. (TMZ)
